[ it's been awhile. ]

keeping this thing updated is becoming more and more of a task. our weekends have been full of fun and weekdays – crammed with work, so i haven’t found much time to keep this up. however, i don’t want to give up. i plan on sharing a few highlight photos from the past two months. and i’ll try to get regular again once my MFA application process is complete (nov. 1 – prayers please.) and when my regular Web site is finished. two huge undertakings this fall. not to mention the opening of EIKON and Lather.one. two businesses i did some work for this summer. busy i tell you. busy.

hmm, to recap the past few months you can start by going to kristy’s blog. she has found the time to post some bizness. starting with our trip to florida with adam and michelle. it was TTRT. we hit up ft. lauderdale, miami and the keys. we saw gators. nuff said. see her stizzle.

then before we knew it, ezzie turned 4! we went to newport on his birthday with melissa, bella and madie. and andrew. word. and that weekend we went to the Go, Diego, Go! concert at the Kodak Theatre with everyone – the ruizs, the princes and the runcies. that was rad. we cruised around hollywood and highland for a bit. we ate at cpk beforehand and had ice cream at johnny rockets afterwards. lucky kid. peep it. oh yeah, and that night jacob and andrew spent the night. it was awesooooome.

the next weekend we went camping with my parents. it was a sweet trip to mountain lakes in lytle creek. it was filled with hiking. too much eating. games. paddle boats. fishing with spiderman and superman fishing poles. word up. bike rides. and straight up chill time. my p’s rented a motorhome. so we were pretty comfortable. scheck it.

the weekend following that we had the honor of chillin with the munoz boys. we prepared a mean tub of water balloons and busted out the sprinklers. yes, it was water day at the prince’s. and cruz and i are planning to take over the world. then meg and tony came over to grill us up some din. super delic. i’ll post some of those pics first.

man o man. i got a list of catching up to do.

then before i could blink, noah started school. big second-grader. big 8-am mornings too. it was a bit of an adjustment, but we persevered. hmm, what else? oh yeah, the princeboys had a taste of coinstar. we emptied their piggy banks and hit up ralphs. they learned how to turn those pesty coins into some serious scrilla. greenbacks baby. i only allowed a percentage to go to a shopping spree at target. proper.

then we went roller skating. it was rad. it’s like they pulled this place out of the 80’s and placed it in today. it’s called holiday skate in orange. have a gander at this ultimate experience. and we went skateboarding at the park near the pad. noah got a nasty cut on his shin. that’ll teach him not to go down a slope littered with shattered glass. he’s ok though. the boys are die hard for skateboarding lately. good thing i kept the ole psycho stick from back in the day. i’ll try to find pics of that.

let’s see… we also hit up the art walk in downtown long beach. j-muny was representing some homemade journal action. you gotta spy his work. it’s totally fly. that was an afternoon of fun. i totally love long beach. my heart belongs there for some reason. ahh. then that’s the week ezzie started school.

ha, you think that’s it? nope. then we went to oak canyon nature center in anaheim hills for a birthday party. that was a cool spot. good little hike in a peaceful setting. then greg hansen, my old-old-old boss, got married. it was off the chain. a great reunion of old g.s.p. employees. the wedding was at puddingstone and the reception was in a super cool cuban restaurant called coco palm. that very same night was chad (fox)’s 30th birthday in chino. another reunion. this time with old skool high school friends. then the next day we went to the l.a. county fair. that was one exhausting weekend fill with the i.e. (inland empire).

and most recently i got some great pics at the park with juliana, levi, judah and asher when we were watching ruben (the middle munoz boy). and yesterday was ana’s grand opening party for lather.one. artwork that you can’t afford to miss. i got great pics.

oh, and i’m also excited to post pics of EIKON Home Essentials in orange and Lather.one Barber Shop in fullerton. these retail establishments, even though they aren’t mine, have become a pride and joy for me and find a special place in my heart. you’ll be seeing those here shortly and in my portfolio!

phew. i didnt think i had it in me to write this much. thanks for makin it this far.
